A piece of my mind

Portugal | Creative Rehab

In early December I spent 14 days in Portugal for some much needed vacation and creative rehab. Portugal is a magical place and I’m glad I got to capture it for no one but myself. Recently I’ve felt lost in every creative aspect. What I should shoot, how I should shoot and edit, making clients visions come true and relying on likes and comments as validation. It’s exhausting. It made me want to stop creating. I do feel like I’m making my way back though. I’m rifling through old and new photos looking for something to edit. I’m looking for people to collaborate with and new ways to create. I’m hungrier than before. I can’t say what will come from this new found hunger, I really just hope it’ll help me find my place as a creative.

With that little rant out of the way I’d like to show you my favourite photos from this trip. The photos were taken with a Sony A7R III, SEL35F14Z & DJI Mavic Air.

I’ve really started to favour gritty B&W edits as of late. I’ve been hesitant to share them, but I really like it. Fujifilm X-T2
