Lofoten | Dreamiest place on earth
Lofoten has been on my list of places to visit ever since I first picked up a camera. For people who enjoy the great outdoors it might just be heaven on earth - or I just got lucky with the weather. Me and Sophie drove from Stockholm along the Norwegian coastline. It was a long ride. We had planned a bunch of stops along the way, but the weather was absolute garbage so we just drove. All the way to Lofoten. When we finally got there, everything changed. We had the perfect conditions; sun, barely no wind and no rain/fog to limit our visibility. For this trip, and this workshop, we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
I love nature photography. I love nature. I haven’t always, but after my first few real trips and hikes everything sort of changed. I don’t get to experience this kind of a thing way too often. Being a commercial photographer in Stockholm, I’m confined to the city the majority of my days. Although I thoroughly enjoy nature photography, it’s not something I’m very good at. I often struggle with composition and the sheer technical aspect of it all.
With that said I’d like to share some of my favourite shots from this trip. Some were taken during our roadtrip, others during the workshop, and a whole bunch during the time we just messed around in Lofoten. They will most likely be out of order with no cohesive pattern to be found - deal with it.
